IDAHO SENATE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE ROBERT L. GEDDES TO CHAIR OTTER CAMPAIGN IN CARIBOU COUNTYThursday, Jun 10, 2010 (Boise, Idaho) – Idaho Senate President Pro Tem Bob Geddes this week announced that he will chair the effort to re-elect Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter in his home district. “I volunteered to be Chairman for the Otter for Governor Campaign in Caribou County. That action… is something that I believe must be done to continue the best possible leadership for Idahoans and for our state,” Geddes wrote in a recent letter that he sent out to newspapers in southeast Idaho. The Soda Springs Republican says he believes Otter’s strong belief in keeping government grounded in core conservative values like fiscal restraint in the face of tax and spend liberal legislation is a critical factor in keeping Idaho safe from the reckless economic policies of Washington D.C.
Geddes also stated that our government was at a critical point in our nation’s history and despite what the Governor’s political opponents would have the public
believe, party does matter especially in this upcoming election. “While I have never totally agreed with everything a single party represents; I try to identify with the party that most closely represents me and what I want and expect from government,” said Geddes. “The Republican Party to me represents: personal responsibility; social justice; protecting family values and honoring marriage; respect for life…fiscal responsibility and accountability. Governor Otter and I will stand for those principles and party does matter!”
